Position:

Clare joined Peachey & Co LLP in 1989 and is a partner in the firm’s dispute resolution team. Clare is recognised for her pragmatic and commercial advice, her experience spans a number of industry sectors.

Clare deals with a variety of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and shareholder disputes. Clare advises on complex disputes, often multi-jurisdictional and multi-party claims.

Clare also advises on matters of contentious and non-contentious employment law. Clare provides advice to employers and senior executives with respect to redundancy, TUPE, re-organisation, contractual issues and employee regulatory issues.

Experience:

Acting for the claimant in a €100 million multi-jurisdiction part-19 derivative fraud claim.

Acted in commercial court proceedings concerning the sale of crude oil arising from a joint venture with the Government of Turkmenistan, including discharging a freezing order (and resisting a subsequent appeal).

Acted for the successful appellant in a usual bias appeal where the Employment Appeal Tribunal overturned the Employment Tribunal Judge’s findings (on disability) because of apparent bias.
