We have significant experience within the Energy Sector; from the established oil and gas industry to the newer but growing renewable or reduced environmental impact areas of geothermal, solar and wind power.

Oil & Gas

We have specialised expertise in the oil and gas sector, having worked for the last 30 years both up-steam and down-stream, in particular for seismic, exploration and extraction/production companies. This work has included both onshore and offshore work, especially the UK, Ireland, the South Atlantic, India and Africa.

We offer a wide variety of legal skills relating to oil and gas, including:

• Negotiating and drafting agreements such as farm-ins, farm-outs, royalty and carried interest agreements, JOAs, joint ventures, sole risk and plugging and abandonment as well as negotiating with relevant governmental departments in different jurisdictions.
• Performing due diligence, negotiating and drafting agreements and other documents for the acquisition or disposal of oil and gas producing and exploratory assets.
• The creation and administration of business entities for energy ventures registered in the UK and in other jurisdictions.
• Assistance and advice on the migration of companies between jurisdictions and admission to recognised securities exchanges.

Geothermal/Solar/Wind

We have clients actively pursuing Geothermal energy generation, photovoltaic panel solar power capture and property acquisition for wind turbine installation.
