Over the last few years our corporate finance team has experienced considerable growth. We have advised on transactions with a combined transaction value of well over US$1.5 billion. However, the greater part of our corporate work involves transactions in the £1m to £50m range.

Outside this range, we have recently been engaged on a €180m disposal of a pan-European business, $200m corporate refinancing, the establishment of a $990m private equity fund and an AIM listing (IPO).

Recent work includes:

• Establishment of a series of substantial investment funds (in the UK) for a French fund manager
• Private placing of shares for a leading solar energy company
• Acquisition of a leading newspaper and magazine wholesaler in the UK
• Acquisition of a high spec double hulled chemical tanker
• Private placing of funds and follow up investment round for a meditech company spinout from Nottingham University
• Delivery of a series of newbuildings for an international shipping group
