December – Peachey & Co LLP acted for Menzies Aviation plc in the successful sale of a substantial airside cargo handling warehouse at in the World Cargo Centre at Heathrow Airport . The buyer was Azerbaijan Airlines UK Limited, representing a new cargo venture for Silk Way Airlines, the Azerbaijan national cargo carrier.
November – Peachey & Co LLP partner David Wilson attending the christening of the magnificent "Highland Prince", a UT 755L 09 platform supply vessel built by STX, at Alesund Norway for Gulf Offshore. David is a director of Gulf Offshore.
September – Peachey & Co LLP welcomes its most recent trainee hire, Oliver Jenkinson. Oliver, 25, a graduate of Edinburgh University, earned a commendation from BPP Law School and is already proving a valued member of the team.

August – Peachey & Co LLP acted for Menzies Distribution in its accelerated take up of various publisher contracts and the acquisition of certain assets of Surridge Dawson Limited (in administration) including advising on merger control, employee (TUPE) and property issues. Please see here.
June – Peachey & Co LLP acted as UK counsel to Pronav Inc in connection with the disposal of the Automatic Power group (including AB Pharos Marine) the leading maritime navigation aids business, including obtaining clearance from the Pensions Regulator for the transaction.
May – Peachey & Co LLP, together with their JCA Russia colleagues, have been engaged by LLC Gazflot, the ship owning and operating subsidiary of JSC Gazprom, the Russian Oil and Gas company, in a major maritime arbitration in London under the LCIA Rules.
UPDATE: September 2009 - Following a preliminary hearing in June 2009 in which Peachey & Co instructed Simon Kverndal QC and Paul Henton of Quadrant Chambers, terms were agreed between the parties to settle all matters without the need for a full hearing.
